We have a host of great guests this year from the worlds of gaming, cosplay, music, film and television.

Royd Tolkien

Royd Tolkien is the great grandson of J.R.R. Tolkien. At the request of Peter Jackson, he played a Gondorian ranger passing arms out to other rangers as they prepare to defend Osgiliath in The Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King, as well as a Gondorian Captain burying the Witch-king in The Hobbit, The Desolation of Smaug. Royd Tolkien is a film producer and is currently working on a documentary, the details can be found on his website.

Kate Russell

Kate Russell has been writing about technology, gaming and the Internet since 1995 and now appears weekly on BBC2 and BBC World News, reporting for technology programme Click. A regular expert on the sofa at ITV’s Daybreak and various other TV and radio stations, she writes columns for National Geographic Traveller magazine and Web User magazine.

Kate launched her first novel, Mostly Harmless, at the first FantastiCon in 2014, an event at which she was also MC Extraordinaire! This year she launches her first young adult novel, A Bookkeeper's Guide to Practical Sorcery.

Kitten von Mew

Kitten von Mew is the UK's leading 1940s pinup model and has both sang and danced at reenactments, festivals and events all over the world.

Kitten will be joining us on Sunday to perform some wartime classics and also to perform her amazing Isis wing dance later in the afternoon.

Euan Gloyn's T.A.R.D.I.S

Euan Gloyn is a Dr Who superfan and as such has created one of the most detailed and authentic copies of the T.A.R.D.I.S we have ever seen.

He has kindly agreed to bring his creation to the convention and you will be able to see it in pride of place at the entrance foyer as you come in. He's also agreed to bring along his latest creation, the Bat signal.

Dalek Jast

Dalek Jast will be at the convention on both days and will be offering a pilot experience to a select few lucky convention attendees.

His creator, Robert Phillips, will also be there to lend a hand and, if necessary, administer some exterminations!

Chris Dows

Chris Dows is a giant of the comic fiction world. From 2000AD to Warhammer 40k, Chris has had hundreds of publications across the industry.

When Manga giant TokyoPop ventured into Star Trek, one of Chris' stories was published in their first anthology.

Chris has been involved with Star Trek for over 20 years and has written for the Deep Space Nine Comic book and has been instrumental in the creation of the Official Star Trek Fact Files.

Lisa Bosman

Recently featured in the Hull Daily Mail alongside some of Hull's vibrant cosplayers, Lisa works tirelessly to keep the cosplay community of Hull friendly, inclusive and fun.

Lisa cosplays as Zatanna Zatara (pictured), Black Cat, Gothic Kitana and many more...

She will be helping out with this year's cosplay competition and generally being the awesome, chatty cosplayer we all know and love.

She is a model and also works as creative director at NIche Magazine UK, a magazine dedicated to cosplay and convention fun.

Elizabeth Carter

Recently featured on the Irrational Games Websites & Bioshock Page, Elizabeth Cosplays as Elizabeth (Bioshock Infinite), Ellie (The Last of Us) & many more... She will be Cosplaying, Filming & Photographing the Event and Cosplayers throughout both days, with her Technical Assistant Kyle Mercedes. She is a Freelance Actor, Cosplayer & Film-Maker who films various Comic Con Events as well as being an Honours Degree Film-Making Student.

Jon Lunn and Oliver Hulme

These two are the driving force behind Spidermind Games, the creators of the ED:RPG. They will both be at the event all weekend showing off their amazing creation and running scenarios with those of you brave enough to try your luck in their RPG universe...

Following the first time playtest earlier in the year at LaveCon in Northampton, ours will be the first convention where you will be able to purchase the finished game book and have it signed by both the producer and director of the project.
